Introducing our Kids in the Garden Outdoor Adventures, where we offer an immersive and hands-on garden experience designed specifically for children of all ages. With our background in education, we've crafted STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities that not only educate but also captivate and inspire children to connect with nature while having fun outdoors.

Don't worry if you don't have a garden of your own or you want to plan for a winter activity – we can bring the garden to you with our traveling plants, soil, and friendly garden critters! Our packages can accommodate up to ten children, so feel free to invite the neighbors to join in on the fun or plan for a nature lover's birthday party!

Earth Explorers: Digging into Secrets of Soil

An exciting outdoor educational experience designed for kids to discover the hidden wonders beneath their feet. In this hands-on adventure, young explorers delve into the fascinating world of soil composition, soil health, and the bustling life of underground insects and worms. Equipped with magnifying glasses, shovels, and curiosity, they'll learn about the different components of soil and the vital role each plays in supporting plant life, including our creepy, crawly friends.

As a final treat, each child gets to build their very own soil ecosystem complete with a family of creepy crawlies*!

Circle of Life: From Seed to Flower and Back Again
Available Year Round, Outdoor Offering March - October
Let's embark on an exciting journey through the life cycle of plants! We'll start with the magical process of seed germination, where children witness the first signs of life bursting from the soil. They'll learn the art of caring for seedlings as they grow stronger each day. As these young plants blossom into vibrant flowers, children dive into the fascinating world of pollination and seed production, observing flowers and fruit transformed into seeds ready for the next generation of plants. As the cycle of life nears its end, children observe the concluding stage: plant matter decomposition. They'll discover how fallen leaves and wilted flowers contribute nutrients back to the soil, nourishing it for future seed germination and plant growth.
To commemorate their journey, each child gets to plant a seed and begin the cycle of their very own plant to care for and witness the full circle of life.

Buzzing Gardens: Exploring the World of Pollinators
Available April/May - September
To spark children's curiosity about the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystem, we offer a thrilling pollinator scavenger hunt. Equipped with magnifying glasses and a sense of wonder, participants will observe bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other captivating creatures as they move from flower to flower, pollinating and enabling plant reproduction. Through this adventure, children will explore the diverse array of plants that attract pollinators, from colorful garden varieties to common weeds, and learn how their work contributes to the food we enjoy.
But the excitement doesn't end with observation and identification. Participants will also discover how to support pollinator populations by constructing their very own pollinator house!
A Sensational Garden Adventure: Exploring with our Senses
Available June - September
Embark on a journey to ignite curiosity and foster a connection to the natural world through sensory exploration in our vibrant garden. Children will have the opportunity to feel the textures of velvety leaves and crumbly soil, experience the scents and tastes of different herbs and seasonal veggies, listen to the buzzing of our pollinator friends, and marvel at the variety of colors and patterns plants use to attract or deter animals.

As a special keepsake, each child will plant and care for their own sensational plant, nurturing a connection that will continue to grow long after their garden adventure. Join us in cultivating a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature through the power of sensory exploration!
